Sinclair didn't know he'd been released

The Glasgow Hawks website has reported that Kenny Sinclair found out second hand that he had been released by Glasgow Warriors.

Sinclair is currently representing Scotland in the IRB World Series Sevens in Hong Kong. Sinclair has only played a few minutes of rugby for the Warriors this season but has been in great form for Glasgow Hawks.

The Warriors have already lost a scrum-half with the retirement of Andy Nicol, so the release of Scotland A cap Sinclair has left Glasgow with only two - Graeme Beveridge and Chris Black.

Glasgow's Andy Kelly has been included in the Hawks squad for their Integrated Tournament play-off final with Aberdeen GSFP at Rubislaw on Sunday (ko 3.30pm). Aberdeen include Rory McKay, just released by Glasgow, with Michael Bartlett among the replacements. Glasgow and Scotland winger, Jon Steel, is included in the Jed-Forest team for their play-off match with Melrose at the Greenyards on Sunday (ko 3.00pm). Glasgow prop, Lee Harrison, is at tighthead for Melrose.
