Matt Proudfoot has spoken about his frustration at delays to his move to Glasgow Warriors. The former Edinburgh player has been in fine form for the Blue Bulls in Super 12 this season and is keen to add his experience to the Glasgow pack.

Proudfoot is battling to be freed early from his contract with the Leopards in South Africa.

Proudfoot has emerged as a contender for a place in the Scotland squad for the World Cup later this year. He has been training with the Scotland squad in South Africa but hasn't been considered for selection for the two Test matches against the Boks.

He said: "I want to get things sorted quickly because I would like as much preparation time as possible before the new Scottish season. There are a couple of sticking points, not with Glasgow, but with other issues I've got to clear up and if I can do that we can get into formal negotiations."
