Rory will come back stronger - Gordon Bulloch

Gordon Bulloch thinks Rory Kerr can emerge stronger from his World Cup disappointment .
Glasgow's World Cup hooker Gordon Bulloch was delighted to be told that Rory Kerr had helped Glasgow to victory against Munster on Friday with a spectacular try.

"Rory was very upset about missing out on the World Cup and rightly so because he had done nothing wrong," Gordon noted.

"It was particularly hard for him because he had always thought he would not be going to the World Cup after being out of things at Glasgow last season, but then had just about persuaded himself he had done enough before the squad was announced and he was left out. However, the best thing that ever happened to me was the shock of being left out of a Scottish Schools tour to Australia. You can use things like that to make yourself stronger and that's what Rory seems to have done which is inspiring for everyone."

Glasgow now face Ulster at Hughenden on November 14, but Gordon is anxious to be otherwise engaged that weekend since those matches coincide with the World Cup semi-finals.

"We saw the boys play against Connacht last week and they were awful but either side of that they've had great results in the cup against the Celtic Warriors and Munster," he said. "If they keep playing as well as that I'll be quite happy not to come back until after Christmas."

Yesterday's Sunday Times carried interviews with a couple of the Glasgow players in the Scotland World Cup squad. Interesting stuff.
