The Glasgow players were delighted at beating a big-spending Zurich Premiership team, but disappointed having come so close to overall victory.
"It was one of the best performances of the season but they are all down because we failed to achieve the goal we had set ourselves," he said. "Last week we spent all the second half in their half. There were two or three scoring chances that we messed up, so going into this game there was a confidence that playing as we can, there was always a chance.
"The problem we have had this season is that we have not been consistent, we have played very well some games and pretty badly in others. What we have to get from professional players is consistency. We came on to it (the ball) very well and attacked the defence at pace, which we have not always been doing."
Rory Kerr looked back to form on Friday and grabbed one of Glasgow's tries: "It is typical of my season, going up and down all the time," said Rory. "We left ourselves too much to do and did not quite get there, but you have to take the positives. We played great rugby, it was good fun. It was back to running rugby. Sometimes it does not quite click, but this time it did."
