Mixed emotions for Sean

Sean Lineen is frustrated Glasgow didn't get a win in Connacht
Glasgow's second half fightback to earn a 28-28 draw in Connacht left Sean Lineen with mixed emotions.

The backs coach was delighted by the second half revival but was also left frustrated by the fact that victory was well within Glasgow's grasp.

Glasgow were 25-9 down at half-time and seemed set to be on the receiving end of a hammering against the Galwegians.

But inspired by new Scotland international, Dan Parks, Glasgow got their act together in the second half to create three excellent tries to earn a share of the spoils.

"Dan was fantastic," said Sean. "His involvement with the national squad has clearly given him a massive dose of confidence and we reaped the benefit."

Sean continued: "It certainly was a game of two halves. We were pretty poor before the break and then the guys decided to front up.

"When you go to Connacht you know you will always be in for a real physical battle and we were not up for the challenge at the start.

"Earning a draw was a great result after what had happened but we are still very frustrated we didn't get the win.

"I'm not suggesting that we have turned any sort of corner, because weneed to negotiate a rather large corner, but we have at least given ourselves a platform. We know we have good players in the squad and know they are capable of competing and winning at this level.

"Attitude is the big thing now. The victory against Ulster and this draw will have given us a dose of self-belief. We still have nine games to go, and that means an awful lot of rugby and an awful lot of work and commitment."
