Dan Parks looks set to start for Scotland
Speculation has increased that Dan Parks will start for Scotland against France in the Six Nations match at Murrayfield on Sunday afternoon (ko 3.00pm).

Scotland coach, Matt Williams, claims he has still to decide on his final line-up but many observers feel he wants to see what the Glasgow playmaker can do at the top level.

"Dan Parks is an extremely good tactical kicker. He has a very good passing game in the tight, but at international level you have a lot less time to do those things and that's what we don't know about him because he's never been asked.

"I have been impressed with his little cameos against Wales and England, but I don't know what we'll do yet. It's nice to have a choice."

The Scotland team will be announced at 1.00pm on Friday. Matt Williams rates Cammy Mather's chances of playing at 50-50, as the Glasgow skipper continues his recovery from an ankle injury.

"He has been running in training," said Williams, "but the ankle ligament trouble he sustained has made it awkward when he is turning. We will just wait and see how he progresses."
