Ospreys play a waiting game

With Glasgow five points clear of Borders with a vast points superiority they know that only an unlikely series of results can see their rivals beat them to a Heineken Cup spot next season.

Ospreys are waiting on Cardiff Blues' Thursday night game with Edinburgh Rugby to know what is required of them.

They are four points clear of the Cardiff in the race for the final Welsh Heineken Cup spot, but will be without lock Luke Tait who has a neck injury.

He will be out for 12 weeks, but captain Barry Williams is fit to play after being forced off with a bump in Sunday's defeat to the Scarlets.

"We always target a win whenever we play, so whatever the Blues result our approach to the match will be no different," said Ospreys coach Lyn Jones.

"What we have learned through this season is how to go away and construct a victory.

"Glasgow will be as difficult a team to beat as any we have faced this season, and the fact that they are towards the bottom of the league has no bearing on the match."
