Try for Sean but Scotland crash to heavy defeat

Sean Lamont went over for Scotland's only try
Scotland crashed to a 41-5 defeat in their opening tour match against Queensland Reds earlier today.

Glasgow's Sean Lamont went over for Scotland's only score. Sean said: "It was a thrill to score on my senior debut but I would rather have been on the winning side.

"We were up against an extremely strong Queensland team who have been developing and playing together for at least 15 matches whereas this was the first outing for our line-up. But we will remain positive."

After the match Scotland coach, Matt Williams, said: "Sean Lamont, the young Glasgow winger who scored the try, showed some good touches at the end there. I thought Graeme Beveridge played very well when he came on at scrum-half, I thought his service was very crisp. So that was a plus...Jon Petrie was solid..."

Wondered where you saw that, the side were 10th of 12. I'd have thought they would have been better placed if their defence was so good.
