"When you are selected for a tour, you hope to get an international cap. But it was a surprise when Matt said I was starting. Words can't describe the feeling. If I get to play against Australia it wil be another big chance."
"My step-dad, Jeff Coates, has been a big influence to me. He's the one who got me into rugby and he's been with me over my whole career so far. My mother said when I was born that both me and my brother would play for Scotland at some point. I've just got to wait for my brother to catch up now."
After Friday's dramatic win over Samoa, Sean feels it would be foolish to write off Scotland's chances. "They are a strong team. They have a lot of fast, big guys. Wendell Sailor did us in Queensland - he was just brushing boys aside. It's a learning curve and we must make sure he doesn't do the same in Melbourne."
"It will be tough against the Wallabies, but not impossible."
