In Alasdair Reid's article, Hugh laments the number of scoring opportunities his team spurned: "We controlled the game pretty well," he said ruefully, "but we failed to take our opportunities. We had chances to win, didn't take them, and they came back with a couple of scores and stole the game. It was very frustrating. I felt we did enough to win it."
Despite Glasgow's improved performance the feeling remains that they lack a cutting edge to convert pressure into points.
"The Welsh sides are all very streetwise," Hugh emphasised. "I don't think we're at that level yet. There were areas there where we could have capitalised and didn't.
"All the ingredients are there. It's just about getting the mix right and about playing with a bit more composure again. We tend to get too excited at times and we just have to learn to be more composed. If we can develop that, and it comes with maturity, we'll have a pretty potent outfit."
