A long-range Dan Parks penalty looked like winning Friday's game for Glasgow but when the Hughenden men couldn't secure the restart kick Munster playmaker Ronan O'Gara clinched the game for the Irishmen with a drop-goal.
Kenny told the Daily Record: "We lost 15 points because we couldn't secure their kick-offs and that is just suicide.
"We performed well and did a heap of good stuff - but the bottom line is that if you drop the ball, you will lose."
Kenny revealed he could see O'Gara revving up for his make-or-break last kick of the contest.
He said: "I knew it was going to happen and I was yelling at the guys 'watch the drop goal' - but when we didn't make the restart safe it seemed inevitable.
"To lose in that manner was one of the most gutting defeats I can remember and the lesson we have to take is not to lose concentration after we have scored."
Three Munster scores came directly from Glasgow surrendering possession immediately after scores of their own, costing them momentum as well as points.
"Unfortunately, those lapses of concentration were really telling," said Glasgow coach Campbell. "I thought our scrummaging was outstanding against what was almost a full international pack. Our lineouts were a bit mixed, but the one area we have to look at very seriously is the kick-off, particularly when we are receiving."
