This season's tournament was launched at Edinburgh Castle today.
Glasgow's Kenny Logan was the only representative from the clubs in Group 3, but he knows Toulouse, Northampton and Llanelli will make their presence felt on the pitch. "It's going to be a tough group to get out of," said Kenny. "We've got a young team," said Kenny. "At Wasps we had six guys older than me. I have just turned 32 and am the oldest player in Glasgow where the average age must be about 24.
The teams that do well are the teams that can just turn up and turn it on, like Munster who have had a poor start to the Celtic League but will be a different team in the Heineken Cup. We must win our home games and hope to pick up something away. Llanelli have been struggling a bit lately so there are matches we can target."
Kenny will be hoping to add to his 17 tries in the competition and get a few steps closer to top try scorer, Wales and Lions winger Dafydd James, now playing for Harlequins, who has 20 tries in the tournament.
Glasgow open their campaign against Northampton at Hughenden on Sunday 24th October (ko 1.00pm).
