Andy, who starts at outside centre on Friday, told The Scotsman: "This is a very good squad, with some very talented guys, which is what I hoped it would be when I decided to come up to Scotland, and I'm telling you we're just a game away from scoring five or six tries and smashing somebody.
"I know it's tough this week and I'm being realistic when I say that that's probably not going to happen in Toulouse, but people shouldn't write us off either. We were absolutely gutted that we didn't beat Northampton on Sunday because the chance was there, and we know it's difficult when you lose a home game in this competition, but nobody is giving us a cat-in-hell's chance in Toulouse and we could just surprise some people."
Andy's return to the starting line-up is timely, with the autumn Test matches just over a week away and the centre pairing perhaps the area of the national side with the biggest question-mark hanging over it.
He added: "It is great for me to get back in now, but, realistically, I'm on the periphery at the moment and while I'd love to get a crack in the autumn Tests, if Andy (Henderson) and Graeme (Morrison) get a shot then it will give me a run in the Glasgow side and that's what I need to prove myself again."
