Glasgow apprentice John Barclay returned to action in a Scotland under-19 trial staged on the Murrayfield back pitches last night.

The Hawks' flanker played for the Blues who ran out 19-0 winners. Earlier this week John was named in the Scotland squad for the Abbey Autumn Tests.
