Six Glasgow players are in the Scotland team to face Australia in the Abbey Autumn Test at Murrayfield on Saturday (ko 5.30pm).

Graeme Morrison will be making his first start for Scotland, Sean Lamont will win his first cap appearance at Murrayfield while Dan Parks, Andy Henderson, Gordon Bulloch and Donnie Macfadyen all start.

Andy Craig and Jon Petrie are among Scotland's replacements.

It is the first time since the Scotland v Ireland match in February 1985 that Scotland have fielded an all home-based XV in a cap match. The two more recent occasions that Scotland fielded all home-based XVs – against the USA and Canada in 1991 – were non-cap matches.

Well done to the six lads who made the starting team, heart goes out to JP who's in form of his ife at the moment and only makes the bench, seems hard done by. Other night on sky they reckoned he was top performning No.8 n Britain.

With regards to Friday nights game any one know if Pinder, Barclay or Mather will be released back to Glasgow and made available for selection. Could understand if Mather wasn't but can't see that Pinder or Barclay will realisticly play in any of the four games. Better to play for Glasgow that not play at all for the next four weeks.

Is Barclay fit? I believe the fact he hadn't played all season was unknown to the Scotland coach!
