Gordon Hood is one of an expected 500 players to be taking part in the 24-hour tag rugby record attempt
The 24 hour non-stop tag rugby attempt got underway in George Square this afternoon to advertise this Saturday's match between Scotland and Australia, as well as to raise money for Children in Need.

Andy Nicol was there for the start of the event, as were Glasgow players, Andy Hall and Kevin Tkachuk, and Edinburgh representatives, Scott Murray and Tom Phillip.

Also involved and overseeing the record attempt are Glasgow Warriors's own Graeme Piper and Gordon Hood, who are currently MCing their little hearts out, and showing off their own rugby skills. Piper, who plays for Marr, is proving to be quite a finisher, and is "always looking for work", while his colleague, Mr Hood is hogging the microphone to keep passers-by entertained by his sparkling repartee as well as up to date with scores!

If anyone has yet to drop by, you've got until 12noon tomorrow to get along and join in the fun!

Or check out these photos of others getting involved...
