Changes can be good for Glasgow

Calvin Howarth lines up at full-back for Glasgow
Injuries and unavailability have forced Glasgow into nine changes from the team that took on Edinburgh last week.

Among the changes is the return of Dan Parks to the stand-off position with Calvin Howarth dropping to full-back.

Coach Hugh Campbell insists the reshuffle will not wreck his team's chances of earning a win against the former Euro champs.

He said in today's Daily Record: "In some ways it is a luxury for us to have both Calvin and Dan on the field at the same time.

"After all, England have often played with two stand-offs and it has proved to be an extremely successful ploy.

"Each of the guys offers different options and their presence will definitely give us some flexibility."

Scotland captain Gordon Bulloch holds on to the hooker's with Hugh refuting claims he has been ordered by national coach Matt Williams to pick Gordon ahead of Scott Lawson.

He said: "There is no truth in that notion whatsoever. There has not been any selection input from Murrayfield."

Glasgow can't qualify for the quarter-finals but Hugh said: "We can still have a big say in the outcome of the group.

"We are not going into the matches against Toulouse and Northampton just to make up the numbers.

"We want to start preparing for next season's Heineken Cup and we can try certain things without the pressure of league points being at stake."
