Northampton team for Friday

Northampton are looking for a win on Friday to secure a place in the Heineken Cup quarter-final
Northampton have named their team for Friday night's Heineken Cup game with Glasgow at Franklin's Gardens (ko 7.30pm).

Head coach Budge Pountney said: "Both teams will want to win but for two very different reasons. We want to win it to get into the quarter-finals and Glasgow will want to win it for pride. They have nothing to lose and we have everything to lose."

Steve Thompson will lead Northampton Saints out against Glasgow Warriors at Franklin's Gardens on Friday night telling his players to dismiss the Scots' poor Pool 3 record in this season's tournament

"Glasgow will be up for it this weekend, the Scots always like to beat the English sides and we will have to be right on top of our game if we are going to qualify for the next round" said the England hooker.

Forgot there was a game on? Probably be too much to ask for us and Edinburgh to come out with a great performance and beat our opponents eh?
