Andy is the fifth member of Glasgow's current squad to reach the century milestone, joining Jon Petrie, Gordon Bulloch, Donnie Macfadyen, and Graeme Beveridge.
Glasgow travel to Belfast with a record of having taken at least one point from every league match since early October. "A lot have been narrow losses," Hugh Campbell, Glasgow’'s head coach, remarked today on Glasgow's official website. "We need to turn these opportunities into wins."
Already this season Glasgow have beaten Ulster at Hughenden, picking up a four-try bonus point in a 34-20 victory. "Ulster have improved since then, but so have we," Hugh observed.
Glasgow lie sixth in the league, six points ahead of Ulster. But the middle of the table is developing into a close contest as clubs bid to finish among the eight qualifying for the Celtic Cup competition to be played after the end of the league programme. Eleven points cover the six clubs lying between fourth and Ulster in ninth place.
"Ulster have a lot to play for. So have we to finish in the top eight," the coach added.
Andy's promotion for the Belfast match is the only change from the team who started in the Limerick match that Glasgow lost to Munster by 19-25 a week past Sunday. To allow Andy to start Joe Beardshaw drops down to the replacements' ranks. Of his 100th game Andy said: "There will be no celebrations unless we win."
Three recent injury absentees, Andrew Wilson, Sam Pinder, and Kenny Logan, return to the Glasgow squad among the replacements. Andy and Sam have not played since Heineken Cup matches in January whereas Kenny missed only the Munster match.
