Joe Beardshaw set to join the Pirates of Penzance

Joe Beardshaw looks set to join Penzance-Newlyn Pirates
Glasgow lock Joe Beardshaw looks set to join English National One team Penzance Newlyn.

The Pirates are looking to build on this season's best-ever finish of fourth place in National League One, and the Western Morning News reports that they have signed the big lock forward.

Glasgow surprisingly released Joe despite the forward showing some great form since returning from injury.

Really surprised and disappointed Joe has been allowed to leave - and still, can't work out the logic in releasing him. Certainly one of Glasgow's best performers since returning from injury. Great professional and a good guy - best wishes for the future.
