James Eddie will play at Ayr next season
After the news that prop Andy Kelly was returning to Millbrae, it was confirmed that Glasgow apprentice lock James Eddie will also play for Ayr next season.

Ayr's official website reports that scrum-half Alasdhair(AJ) McFarlane will also be moving to Millbrae from GHA.

Injury prevented James from taking part in the U21 Home Nations Championship although he recovered to go to Argentina for the World Championships with an impressive CV already behind him. Nine U19 internationals including five in the IRB Junior Championship in South Africa before joining Glasgow Warriors as an apprentice. He is a member of the Glasgow Warriors Academy and the West Of Scotland Institute of Sport.

AJ played in all the Scotland U21 Home Championship matches this season and was a key man in the Scotland squad during the U21 World Championships in Argentina last month. He moved from Hillhead-Jordanhill to GHA when they were in Premier Division 1 last season then went on to become a fixture in the U21 side.

Delighted at the new signings who will add to a core of quality young players at Millbrae, coach Craig Redpath confirmed "AJ is a fantastic signing for the club and will give us a real quality pair of half backs when he links up with James Noonan. That will be an impressive partnership while James Eddie is a young athletic player who has played at a good level and will improve our line out options immensely."
