Glasgow team to face the Dragons

Steve Swindall returns for Glasgow Warriors
Hugh Campbell has announced his team to face the Newport Gwent Dragons at Hughenden tomorrow night (ko 7.30pm).

Steve Swindall has recovered from a finger injury to take his place in the backrow.

"We're really looking forward to the start of the Celtic League and feel we can make an impact this season," said Glasgow head coach, Hugh Campbell.

"The difference between this year and last year is that throughout the squad we have players who can step in. It's been an outstanding pre-season in terms of being able to prepare the guys physically and from a skills standpoint. It's an opportunity you only get once every so many years when Scotland do not have a summer tour."

Hugh has set targets for his squad but they are not designed to attract screaming headlines in the tabloids.

"We're not saying we will finish in the top one or two in the Celtic League or qualify for Europe. What we're saying is that we are looking to improve our defence this season by achieving certain things and we're looking to improve our attacking ability by achieving certain goals – do that and it will be reflected in our performance. If each player improves by a couple of per cent then that's a massive overall improvement in the team performance," he said.
