After the drama of last week's events, Euan is hoping to make his comeback for Glasgow's European campaign, around the same time that is being targeted by Donnie, the flanker who has not played this year.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to mount that Frank Hadden's new national role will not prompt a significant reshuffle among the Scotland professional coaches. Glasgow backs coach Sean Lineen is thought to be among the front-runners to replace Hadden at Edinburgh. Warriors' coach Hugh Campbell threw his support behind the idea of Sean staying with Glasgow for now, but perhaps moving later in the season.
"It is not my decision but he would be an outstanding candidate," Hugh said in The Times. "I would anticipate losing Sean at some point, but not now. You would want the coach to be involved before the end of the season, to get a feel for the way they operate but maybe not too much before the end."
