Dan Parks thinks he can help bring out the best in Glasgow's young players
In today's Herald Dan Parks talks about leading an inexperienced Glasgow Warriors team after the long term loss of regular skipper Jon Petrie.

"I'm honoured to be captain, that really has inspired me to play better for myself and for the team," said Dan.

"We've got a lot of young fellas and I think among my strengths I feel like I can motivate the team and help bring the enthusiasm out in the players.

"Whenever I started playing sport I always believed that encouragement and positive feedback is the way forward. That's my thinking and as captain I want to bring that to the table."

Good to see Dan is getting his chance to lead it is something that he does very well. Since his junior and schoolboy days he has been a leader in all teams that he has played with and I hope Glasgow continue to support him in his leading role
