Andy sets the standard

Andy Wilson is in Scotland's training squad for the autumn tests
Premiership Three high flyers Ellon hope that their new development academy will unearth some local talent to follow in the footsteps of Glasgow's Andrew Wilson.

The Warriors' flanker is a former Ellon player and his good form for Glasgow was rewarded with a debut Scotland cap against Romania in June. Andrew has also been called up to the Scotland squad for the autumn Test training.

Ellon's director of rugby Alex Duncan said in the Press and Journal: "Andrew has done well and has kept north-east rugby on the map. I'd like to think there's more where he came from and perhaps our new development academy will produce players of the calibre and mental toughness of our most famous product."
