Reaction to Netherdale defeat

Lee Harrison says Glasgow didn't do enough to get a win at Netherdale
Glasgow Warriors ended 2005 with a poor result at Netherdale going down 24-13 to the Border Reivers.

Prop Lee Harrison said in the Daily Record: "The result was a big disappointment as we came here looking for a win and we didn't do enough to get it.

"We played right into their hands by trying to take them on up front and it was only really in the last 20 minutes that we played the sort of game we can play.

"We were more effective from then on but it was too late.

"They came at us all guns blazing at the start and that put us under pressure and meant we didn't manage to get the sort of game going that we wanted."

Glasgow coach Hugh Campbell said in the Daily Record: "We got what we deserved because it was by far our worst performance of the season, if not the year.

"I am at a loss as to the reason. We played well against Edinburgh and Bath, then prepared as normal.

"We didn't get the basics right at crucial moments and gave away far too many needless penalties."

Start by making some changes, Hugh - this lot is complacent and are not doing the job. Petrie hasn't played for three months and he starts??
And while you're at it, Hugh, brush up your CV - you may need it sooner rather than later - the Edinburgh victory is a distant memory. Since then your team has leaked at least ten tries - why are we paying the defensive coach??????
