John Barclay was stretchered off at Rodney Parade
Glasgow's John Barclay was stretchered from the field as Scotland U21s went down 34-24 to their Welsh counterparts in Newport.

John was knocked out in a collision with his opposite number, Tom Smith, the Welsh captain, and for more than five minutes play was stopped while the No.8 was having attention on the pitch. John was taken to hospital for overnight observation.

After the match John Jeffrey, the Scots' team manager, said that the report from the hospital was that the Glasgow player was still dizzy but that he is expected to travel home tomorrow.

Hope John Barclay is feeling better soon - Gordon, did you have to use a photo of him looking quite so cheery?

Just trying to keep his chin up...

Vic, you are, of course, at liberty to change it should you wish.
