Frontline No9s Sam Pinder and Graeme Beveridge are injured but Sean Lineen told The Scotsman: "This is a big game for us, but I have no worries about Colin.
"He has the skills, strength and confidence to move, which says a lot for the work he has done to improve as a player to be honest.
"Colin is an important signing, as are the others, and, hopefully, we will have two or three more to come and more next summer because I am ambitious and I want Glasgow to be fighting for the titles in the future, not worrying about the bottom of the league table."
Colin admitted: "It's an exciting time for me; I'm really looking forward to playing Leinster and I can't wait for next season. I prefer stand-off, but I played at scrum-half for a couple of seasons at Strathendrick and quite a bit at Watsonians, so I'm comfortable with it.
"It's been frustrating for Glasgow lately because when we get things right, we play a very exciting and effective brand of rugby, which encourages spectators to come along and watch. But, hopefully, with Sean having taken over now, we can make the first few steps this month and by the time the new season starts, with the new signings all in, we'll really hit the ground running."
