Graeme Morrison starts for Scotland A
Six Glasgow Warriors have been named in the Scotland A squad to play England A in the Churchill Cup on Saturday.

Graeme Morrison, Rory Lamont, Fergus Thomson and Craig Hamilton start, while Andy Wilson and Colin Gregor are on the bench.

Former Glasgow favourite Andy Hall, now with the Dragons is also on the bench for the game in Toronto.

The Churchill Cup aims to develop rugby in North America and this is the fourth competition in its history. The tournament has expanded this year from four countries to six to include A teams from both Scotland and Ireland.

Looking forward to taking on the current holders of the Churchill Cup title, England A, head coach Steve Bates said: "The players have integrated well since arriving in Canada and are really looking forward to playing against England who are very strong at this level.

"We have trained well and the guys are all aware of the opportunity that this tournament presents to them looking ahead to next year's World Cup."

Interesting that we've only got two back on the bench, Gregor to double up as cover for 9/10? Beatties inclusion in the team seems interesting, when exactly was the last time he played a competitive game? Or does it suggest that Andy Wilson or Scot Gray could be about to find themselves on a plane to South Africa ASAP depending on Hogg!

Good luck to the A squad - hopefully last night's result will inspire the players to repeat the performance.
