Donnie was delighted to be back in a Scotland jersey
Donnie Macfadyen and Sam Pinder combined for Scotland's sixth try against the Barbarians, and both players were delighted to be involved a confidence boosting win.

It was special night for Donnie, who came through 15 months off with a knee injury that refused to get better. His quick thinking laid on the try for Sam. "It was a special moment running out there," he said in The Times. "After being out for such a long time, it was fulfilment of my goal. I had a wee moment to myself but after that I was just concentrating on the game."

Sam's delight at getting his first game for Scotland grew even greater with his try. "It was a great feeling to be out there," he said. "I was a bit nervous to start with but once I got into the game, it was a huge buzz."

Good to hear they both got a kick out of playing for Scotland. Their "joint" try was wonderful to watch for a Glasgow fan, and hopefully they will get their chance to shine some more during the SA tour.

I agree, Vicki. The highlight of that match was watching Donnie intercept that pass and help Sam to score that wonderful try. I felt so proud because they played for not only my country but the team I support!

If Frank Hadden has any sense he will give these guys a chance to go out onto that field and show their stuff. Good luck to them both.
