Bevvy scored Glasgow's only try against Newcastle last year
Glasgow Warriors will face Newcastle Falcons in a pre-season double header in August.

As announced today on the official Newcastle Falcons site, the teams will meet in Glasgow on Friday August 18 (venue and time tbc), with the rematch at Kingston Park on Friday August 25.
Both dates will be double bills, with the clubs’ academy teams meeting each other in curtain raisers before the first team clashes.

All four games will count towards a trophy to be presented after the second leg, with a prize pot going to the academy department of the winning club.

For the Kingston Park leg on August 25 the academy match gets underway at 6pm ahead of an 8pm start for the first team encounter.

The Falcons hosted Glasgow Warriors in pre-season action last year, recording a 32-11 victory.

Looks like the Glasgow admin team are assuming that its "business as usual", which is hopefully only a positive sign for Glasgow supporters.

Ha ha ha maybe they have a crystal ball and all is well at Glasgow!! The SRU will look pretty silly if they have to drop this game due to cutting GW, just shows the gulf between Scotland and the rest of the six nations!
