Scotland injury update

Posted by Editor on February 5, 2007 12:09 AM | 5 comments | Print | E-mail author

Alastair Kellock should be fit for the visit of Wales
Glasgow skipper Alastair Kellock had ten stitches inserted into head wounds sustained in Scotland's 42-20 defeat to England at Twickenham.

Hugo Southwell may be doubtful for Saturday's visit of Wales to Murrayfield after travelling back from Twickenham with his knee in a brace.

Dave Callam, Gav Kerr and Simon Taylor are all expected to recover ahead of the weekend after reporting yesterday that they had stiff necks.

To wax lyrical :at least as regards the back row " there's none of them be missed" Beattie and Barclay please Mr Hadden .

There is no way Hadden can play David Callum on Saturday! Johnnie Beattie or John Barclay instead!!!

Kerr, Ford, Murray; Hines, Kellock; Hogg, Beattie, Taylor would be a better balanced pack but making lots of changes could be counter-productive.

Also between Big Al, Wilkinson, Hickie and Ryan Jones I don't think I've seen that much claret spilt on an international weekend in a long time. Stitches galore!

..I forgot to say ..10 stitches, that must have been some laceration. Scrum cap on Saturday please Al.
