Today's Scotsman reports that crowd favourite Bevvy will be joining English Premiership club Bristol. Posted by warrior_dave on March 27, 2007 04:57 PM | Reply to this comment I know Bevvy has a lot of detractors on here but I've always thought he was a good player so I'm one who is sorry to see him go but wish him all the best in Bristol. Now surely we have to make sure Chris Cusiter is with us next season. Posted by Phall on March 27, 2007 07:44 PM | Reply to this comment Given the fountain of eternal youth which they have at the Memorial Ground, well just look at Hilts! This will probably see Bevvy carry on for yonks. Good luck Bev, we've hoisted a few beers in your name over the years... Posted by Dunaskin on March 27, 2007 11:01 PM | Reply to this comment Bevvy won't be missed????????. Get real, Cuisiter is a good scrum-half, but is he really the new first choice for Warriors?, did you watch the Six Nations? Don't think so. Bevvy will be sorely missed. Gave his all for the Glasgow jersey. All the best Bevvy, hope to see you at Bristol sometime. Posted by highlandbrave75 on March 27, 2007 11:33 PM | Reply to this comment I can't see where the SRUs getting that Glasgow will be getting the pick of the Borders players? Certainly tonight it looks as if Chris Cusiter's heading to France to continue his rugby career. Just as many of the Borders players are talking to clubs in England, France and Wales. After the last five or so years under the SRUs thumb, don't blame them for looking elsewhere other than heading to Glasgow. Posted by highlandbrave75 on March 27, 2007 11:36 PM | Reply to this comment Sorry....realised the above comment didn't really make sense in the jist of the story. I was a replying to bossco85 on Chris Cusiter being the new Glasgow scrum-half. Posted by jrp on March 29, 2007 09:29 AM | Reply to this comment Cusiter wouldn't be the 1st choice SH at Glasgow - LOL LOL Just as well he is off to Stade then. Posted by Hannah on March 27, 2007 11:03 PM | Reply to this comment Good luck and a big thank you to him. getting cusiter would be great for Glasgow and he made up for all the mistakes V Italy in the Ireland game. All the best tho Bevvy. Posted by disco on March 28, 2007 12:18 AM | Reply to this comment Let's not concern ourselves with other news on this thread, let's just take the chance to say thanks to a guy who always gives 100% for the Warriors. Cheers Bevvy, hope you get to bring your new team up here next season in the Heineken Cup! Posted by Number 9 on March 28, 2007 09:04 AM | Reply to this comment All the best Bevvy - thanks for your years as a Warrior. You'll be the young buck down at Bristol! Go get yourself some of whatever magic potion they are treating Hilton, Llewelyn and Regan with. Posted by stones on March 28, 2007 12:33 PM | Reply to this comment A true Glasgow Warrior. Wishing him the best of luck in the rest of his career. Posted by alan on March 28, 2007 08:36 PM | Reply to this comment Yes, you will be greatly missed by the Glasgow fans, Bevvy ...not just for the immense contribution on the field (I think you have started every game this season due to your secret of eternal youth or, more likely, the hard work you put in to keep up).. but also for your understanding of the importance of the fans to this game! You should still be playing for Glasgow next season, but good luck with Bristol. Do not be a stranger at Glasgow if you get the chance. The Glasgow fans will not forget you. Thanks.
