After the game, Warriors head coach Sean said: "I’ve got even more grey hair after that!
At half time, it looked as though Leinster had the game in the bag and that it was going to be one of those nights for teh Warriors. However, a string of late substitutions turned the game around for the ailing Scottish side.
“It was very, very frustrating,” Sean said. “The control wasn’t good. We struggled to get the phases together, again Leinster were winning the up front battle and it just looked like we were waiting for something to happen.
"The subs made a big difference, especially Scotty Barrow at 10.
"It was an outstanding team effort and just shows the tremendous spirit here. We just want to win every game here and make Firhill a real fortress.
“We tried to free the ball up a bit more which made a huge difference. The discipline in the first half wasn’t great, we gave away six or seven penalties but we didn’t play enough position in the first half. We tried to play too much rugby in our own half.”
Looking ahead to the clash with Munster in two weeks, Sean refused to confirm whether or not his big hitting substitutes would feature in the starting XV. He instead preferred to look at the squad as a 22-man unit.
“We’ll wait and see, it’s about 22 players. It’s about the impact the subs can make and my God they made a really big impact when they came on.”
Warriors substitute, Hefin O'Hare who scored Glasgow’s second try of the night added: "Sean said before that it was going to be a 22 man game and the subs came on and certainly made an impact, that’s what they’re there to do."
