Praise from Sean Lineen

John Barclay "always plays well"
After tonight's victory over Ulster, Sean Lineen praised his squad for their performance, which continued Glasgow's unbeaten run at Firhill Arena.

After the game, Glasgow head coach Sean Lineen said: “There was a lot of good stuff in the lineout; I don’t think people give Shade Munro the credit he deserves for the work he has done there. And our defence was outstanding tonight, so credit to our defence coach Gary Mercer. The boys are working so hard for each other.

”There were some outstanding individual performances tonight. I thought Moray Low had a cracker, Johnnie Beattie really stepped up to the plate, John Barclay played well, but he always plays well, and Bernie Stortoni was immense once again at fullback.”

Parksy added: “Everyone was really pumped up for that game. Our defence was so good.

”We’ve really got the fire in our bellies now and we want to take that fire down to Saracens next week for our first Heineken Cup game.”
