May 08, 2008Andy Newman joins Grenoble Andy Newman is moving to Grenoble The Welsh A cap has signed a two-year deal with the Pro D2 club. Andy joined Glasgow in 2006 from The Ospreys and quickly became a popular figure with supporters. His previous club rugby saw him lift Heineken Cup title with Northampton Saints in 2000 and the Celtic League title in 2005 with the Ospreys. I think it can be safely said that he has proven those doubts to be without foundation. Some fantastic grafting performances from him over the last two seasons. He added much needed hardness & no nonsense ruggedness which clearly rubbed off on the rest. Since he joined, the pack have become a good, hard unit-he'll be missed.
