No go Di Rollo

Sean Lineen wants to sign another outside back
Sean Lineen is on the lookout for an outside back but the Glasgow coach says it won't be Marcus Di Rollo.

Di Rollo is looking for a club after his time with Toulouse came to an end during the summer. His game time at the French giants was limited due to a cardiac condition. Scottish doctors have given him the all clear to resume his career but it doesn't look like he'll be doing it with Glasgow.

Sean Lineen told The Glaswegian: "No chance - that's a straightforward no.

"I know there's a lot of speculation with internet forums and what have you but as far as I'm concerned, that's all it is.

"We're looking for another outside back but there are no names at this stage.

"Hopefully we'll try and get someone in before the Dragons game.

"In the meantime, Daryl Gibson is delaying his move to Canterbury Crusaders so that we have some cover in the backs.

"He'll fly off to New Zealand once I've brought in his replacement."

Please don't let him be lulling us into a false sense of security - I will not be responsible fo my actions if he is!

At this point, I reckon the backup is needed at 2nd row. But Ritchie Gray did look very good given his lack of age & experience against Brizzle. Front row is really good when Ferg gets back, will watch with interest how Jon Welsh gets on. The Evanses look pretty dangerous at 3/4, Chris Kinloch coming through there. Mikey Adamson is now a "utility back" - so where does that leave him?? Good at 7s, can kick. The big conundrum this season is what to do with Budgie as he can really make hay with the new rules....

I think we could so with a really creative centre, max is good but he needs space, we need somone that makes it happen himself, hopefully it will happen sooner rather than later, wheels was a big loss. This is almost our full team apart frm beattie and ferg so we will see what happens, will be interesting to see if we kick at goal this week or just try to play open rugby!

I think the point is that he may be good enough for Edinburgh, Scotland and Toulouse .. but he's not good enough for Glasgow!
