Jose made his first start for Glasgow in the stunning 33-26 Heineken Cup win in Toulouse.
Argentina's top try scorer hopes to hold on to his place after helping Sean Lineen's side to their greatest victory.
Jose said in the Daily Record: "My rugby career is near the end so it would be great to do something special.
"I have been in the game in various countries for a long time and aim to go out on a high."
When he hangs up his boots, Jose plans to return to his roots and run the family farm in Argentina.
He said: "My father was a gaucho, the South American term for cowboy, and I grew up on a farm. But when I went to university I became involved in rugby.
"I worked my way up into the Argentina side, now I am in Glasgow and I am loving every minute of it."
