Peter Murchie is back after injury
Peter Murchie hopes he can put two months of injury frustration behind him an in a sterting berth in the Glasgow team that will take on Gloucester in the Heineken Cup on Friday.

Peter came off the bench to help Glasgow overcome Ulster at Ravenhill - a win that put Glasgow top of the Magners League.

Peter said in the Evening Times: “It has been really tough being injured for so long, but I have had a game with West of Scotland and then with the Gael Force, and to get the 30 minutes at Ulster on Friday was a massive step.

“I felt I did okay when I came on for Alex Dunbar on the left wing and, with a bit of luck the coach also thought I did enough to make the starting line-up for Friday night.

“This is a massive game for us and I want to play my part.

“This is the type of game I came to Glasgow for and feel that, after getting the 30 minutes last Friday, I am ready to start if Sean Lineen gives me the nod.”

This would be a good game to get Murchie involved again, however, it's also true that Max Evans really needs to get some game time. Dave McCall will be champing at the bit, but we should probably go with those 2 for 13 (with one on the bench).

It will be interesting to see whether Lineen gets experimental and focuses more on the league, or whether follows a similar philosophy as Redpath and tries to keep momentum by going all out in these HC games too.

I hope he goes all guns, because if the heads are up, let's keep them up, and expectations high.

Hopefully the Glasgow boys will shade their Scottish rivals in Gloucester!!!
