The stand-off will move to Cardiff Blues next season after seven years with the Warriors but he's determind to make it a long goodbye to the Glasgow supporters.
With two games of the regular season to go Glasgow could seal their play-off spot with a victory over Leinster tonight depending on other results over the weekend, but mathematically the Warriors could win and still miss out on the top four next month. A place in the top two and home semi-final is also still possible, but will probably require bonus-point wins and both Ospreys and Munster – who meet tomorrow night – to fail to match that in their final games.
Dan told the Herald: "We realise that if we win the next two games there's certainly a chance of maybe getting a home semi, so it's all about winning the first game. If it does turn out to be my last game here then there are a lot of fond memories at Firhill with Glasgow...but I'm looking forward to finishing off the regular season on a high.
"There have been many fond memories at Firhill, and Hughenden as well but in the end they're down to the great players I've played with, the nice guys that have been involved here at the club and the great fans who always embraced me and got behind me when possibly others haven't.
"I'm going to miss the Glasgow fans. They are very passionate. There might not be the amount of support thet the Munster and Leinsters have but they certainly are very passionate and very committed to us."
