Richie looks for consistency

Richie Vernon wants to add consistency to his game
Glasgow Warriors No.8 Richie Vernon says he needs to add consistency to his game.

Richie was one of Glasgow's better performers in the disappointing 23-11 loss to the Dragons at Rodney Parade on Sunday.

One of his trademark runs set up Richie Gray for Glasgow's only try but the 23-year-old says he has to keep his focus for the entire 80 minutes.

“It was a mixed bag for me,” said Richie in the Evening Times. “I was happy to get a few runs, but I’m trying to be more consistent in every game.

“I drifted out of the game once or twice, and that’s what I have to work on.

“I’ll be having a good look at the video over the next couple of days because we’ve got a quick turnaround before we meet Connacht on Friday night.”
