Richie told the Scotsman: "Munster are extremely tough and physical up front, play a lot of territory and play it well with Ronan O'Gara at stand-off, so for us it's about being sensible and playing in the right areas of the field but not shying away from that challenge up front and setting a marker down there.
"That's an area we have to improve on from our performances so far - our aggression - and that's definitely something we're targeting this week. It is a big learning experience for a lot of players in our squad, but this is where you do it.
"What you learn at this level is the need to do things consistently well, right through 80 minutes, and this week that is vital.
"Against Munster you need to do the basics perfectly well because that's what Munster are particularly good at."
