The big lock is currently recovering from surgery he's hoping his teammates can sort out their defensive frailties by the time he puts his boots back on.
Glasgow conceded 43 points in their defeat to leaders Munster at Firhill last weekend and Al admits that kind of tally isn't acceptable.
"I'm still thinking about Munster and how we sort things out for Ravenhill on Friday because that's the priority," said Al, who saw the Warriors start their campaign with a win before suffering three successive defeats in his absence.
"There was a lot of disappointment over the weekend. We could not have worked harder in the first half against Munster and we put ourselves in a good position against a very good side, but they came out and upped it in the second half, and we didn't match that.
"Ronan O'Gara was instrumental in pinning us back and they were relentless in coming away with points every time they got into our territory.
"Scoring 29 points at home should be enough to beat anybody. You shouldn't be leaking more than 29 points, so we've got work to do."
