The big centre made the most of his chance after injuries to first-choice pairing Graeme Morrison and Max Evans.
Peter good form has been rewarded with a place in the Scotland ‘A’ squad to face the Irish Wolfhounds at Netherdale a week today.
Now Peter wants to back up his performance with another big game in Sunday’s Heineken Cup match with the Dragons in Newport.
Peter told the Evening Times: “The Wasps game probably was my best ever in a Glasgow shirt but you could say the same about just about everyone in the side on Sunday.
“I guess that performance helped me into the Scotland ‘A’ side for the game with the Irish Wolfhounds and hopefully I can make the most of that opportunity.
“But first of all I am focusing on backing up the Wasps performance with another decent showing at Newport Gwent Dragons on Sunday.
“Victory would give us three wins from our six pool games and I think that would represent Glasgow’s best ever Euro campaign in the Heineken Cup.
“When you consider that the current European champions Toulouse and the two-time former champions Wasps are in our group, that would be very satisfying. But to do that we need to show consistency and that is the one thing that has been a problem this season.
“So that is the challenge that awaits us at Rodney Parade on Sunday.”
Peter says the inclusion of Jon Welsh and Robert Harley in the full Scotland squad has only added to his determination to stay in Sean Lineen’s plans.
He said: “It shows the rewards you can get from consistency. If you can do it for Glasgow then it gives you a chance to progress into the full Scotland set-up.
“With the Six Nations and the injuries to Graeme Morrison and Max Evans, I have the chance to get a real run of games under my belt with Glasgow. Hopefully that will make it easier for me to be more consistent.”
