The Scotland A cap takes the place of Colin Gregor who has been Glasgow's regular starting No.9 for most of the season.
Henry told the Evening Times: “I have been a bit frustrated to be on the bench for so long, but that impatience tells me how far I have come in my first season with Warriors.
“If someone had told me last summer, when I was at Loughborough University, that I would be involved in virtually every match for Glasgow, including some huge European games, I’d have shaken their hand-off.
“And to have got back into the nine jersey in front of Colin is also a massive boost.
“But now I am back in I am determined to put the extra confidence and belief I have developed to best use.
“I want to really try and boss the pack to get the best out of them.
“You know when you face any Italian side that winning the battle up front is a matter of pride for them and if we can get the shove on them then we will take a big step forward to what would be a great win.
“We may be coming off a loss to Ulster, but we gave one of the best teams in Europe all the trouble they can handle. Now we want to translate that display into a win on Italian soil.
“Ruaridh (Jackson) is playing with a lot of confidence as he showed against Ulster last weekend. So it will be great to be starting with him.
“It is vital that I get decent service to him and make sure he has the time to control the game.
“The experience I will get from playing at the Stadio Zaffanella will be another huge plus.
“Like most of the other first year pros in the side I am only going to come back the better for that next season.
“It will be something new to play in 20 degrees, but that is what is great about the Italian sides coming into the Magners League. They bring a fresh set of experiences.
“We need to make sure that by tea-time tomorrow this is another hugely positive one for Glasgow.”
