Aly Muldowney to leave Glasgow

Aly Muldowney has signed for Exeter
Glasgow Warriors have confirmed that that 27-year-old second-row Aly Muldowney has joined Aviva Premiership side Exeter Chiefs on a two-year deal.

Aly started 11 matches for Glasgow since signing from Mosley at the start of the season but, having struggled to settle his family in the city, sought a move close to relatives in Devon.

Aly told glasgowwarriors.org: “I’d like to thank the coaching staff at Glasgow Warriors for giving me the opportunity to challenge myself in the Magners League and for their help in developing my rugby over the course of the seaso“This was a very hard decision to make but ultimately I have had to make the best decision for my family who weren’t settling in Glasgow.

“I spoke to Sean [Lineen] who understood this and was very supportive so when the offer came in from Exeter it effectively killed two birds with one stone by moving my family close to relatives in Devon while offering me the chance to continue playing top flight rugby.”

He's been getting better with every game. Mobile, good hands and makes his tackles. Sorry to see him go, but family comes first.
