The line-up also includes fellow Magners League outifits Ospreys and Ulster as well as this season's Heineken Cup opponents London Wasps. The international contingent will be represented by Swedish Vikings.
London Wasps boast the likes of danger-man Christian Wade who made his HSBC Sevens World Series debut in Dubai in December 2009 where he ran in a stunning seven tries a week later, making him the joint top try-scorer at the event alongside William Ryder of Fiji.
However, the big guns will not get it all their own way as Glasgow Hawks proved last year when they played some superb rugby to come out on top against Sweden in the final. And they’re not about to give it up easily this year.
Premiership club sides from all around Scotland will be joining those from the Glasgow area to compete in what is an un-missable top class rugby 7s event.
Also decided on the day is the final stage of Glasgow City Sevens for Under 16s. Four sides take their place on the big stage having won through from a qualifying tournament held in April.
