The big lock says the Warriors - who finished second bottom of the Magners League last term - are capable of hauling themselves back into the top four.
Speaking to the club's official website he said: "I feel quite settled in the club already. This is a club with a lot of promise. There are some good young players and we play a good brand of rugby.
"Obviously last season results didn't always go the way we wanted.
"We tended to lose games by small margins and I think if we can rectify the small margins we can have a successful season.
"Hopefully we can replicate what happened a couple of years ago and get ourselves into the play-offs."
Tom and his fellow Warriros have been slogging it out for the past fortnight as the Warriors pre-season schedule gets into gear.
He said: "Pre-season has been tough. We are going into our third week and there's been a lot of weights and a lot of running getting ourselves fit for the start of the season.
"The first part of pre-season is always the toughest of the season. But it's enjoyable to know that you can feel yourself get fitter with every session."
