The big prop is in line for a first cap after Ryan Grant, Gordon’s Glasgow team-mate, pulled out through injury.
Gordon, who joined the Warriors from Ayr, is on the bench for the Pittodrie clash.
Gordon said: “It’s pretty unbelievable but it’s a dream come true. I feel sorry for Ryan but these sort of things happen. He played really well against South Africa and New Zealand and it’s just a shame for it to end for him but injuries do happen.
“I came up during the week and the boys have really taken me under their wing since then."
Tonga will bring their famed physicality and intensity in the tackle, but Gordon he’ll concentrate on his own game: “I don’t really know what to expect. They’re a big physical side, big physical guys running straight and hard.
“For me it would be great just to get on and show Andy (Robinson) what I can do.”
