Glasgow Warriors will be hosting an open training session, family fun day and BBQ at Scotstoun Stadium on Sunday 18 August from 1.30pm.

Supporters will get the chance to see Gregor Townsend and his coaches putting the squad through their paces, less than three weeks ahead of the opening match of the RaboDirect PRO12 season (Glasgow Warriors v Cardiff Blues on Friday 6 September).

The training session will begin at 2.00pm on the main pitch and will last for about an hour. Ahead of the session head coach Gregor Townsend will explain to fans what they can expect to see out on the field.

There will be plenty of activities for the family, including face painting, rugby assault courses, rugby inflatable challenges and kids games. Warriors' partner Optimum Nutrition will also be in attendance setting up a fuel station and information centre for rugby fans.

After training the players will sign autographs and get their photos taken with young fans.
